Faxfleet 

The pond at Faxfleet – known as the burrow pit – covers 9 acres and is dedicated to wildlife. Its a quiet, peaceful area that it is maintained in partnership with Blacktoft Parish Council, the RSPB Blacktoft Sands and the Environment Agency, keeping it a safe harbour for some rare birds and plenty of wildlife. 

 

The pond is part of the Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for the River Ouse and Humber estuary.
